Happy Interior Designer Spotlight!

I started Allison Ruda Interior Design in August of 2019 because I started listening to my soul and what it wants. I spent the last 8+ years in Advertising and Marketing, and when my Mom passed away unexpectedly, it rocked my world. I knew she would want me to make the most out of my life, so I took a big leap of faith and decided to start my own interior design business. And I am so glad I did!

Allison Ruda Interior Design is based out of Chicago, IL and my specialty is designing spaces within residential homes that support and inspire the people within them.

My philosophy at Allison Ruda Interior Design is that your space should support your dreams and nurture your soul. That's why my company motto is "creating space for life and love".

When it comes to selecting art for my clients, I first focus in on what mood we want to create in the space, and then I find art that supports the creation of that feeling.

Lately I have been gravitating toward more abstract pieces with dynamic brush strokes, as well as beautiful landscapes. I’ve also been drawn to color schemes with warm desert tones. I love to support talented artists and my goal is to source unique pieces, so I love that Starlight Art Consultancy features beautiful work from artists I otherwise may not have found.

I believe there is something incredibly special about knowing you have a one of a kind or limited edition of something in your home, vs art from a big retailer that is mass produced. There is also usually a fun story behind unique art, and I love being able to provide more stories to my client’s spaces!
