📣Happy Interior Designer Spotlight!📣

Christy Biberich, founder of Christy B. Design, is passionate about home improvement and design.  Growing up, she methodically collected floorplans from her mother's Home & Garden magazines.  Her interest continued as she studied Theatre Art and History of Art & Architecture at the University of Pittsburgh, where her first design opportunities came in the form of sets, scenery and costumes.

After moving to Los Angeles, Christy honed her on-the-job training with companies specializing in kitchen design, custom cabinetry, construction renovation, and space planning.  Her broad experience ranging from construction management to upholstery design makes her uniquely equipped to create custom spaces and solutions for her busy clients.

She has appeared on The Style Network and was one of only ten home experts selected from across the country for HGTV’s first season of Brother vs. Brother, featuring the Property Brothers, Jonathan and Drew Scott.  Christy’s projects and expertise have been published with Dwell.com, The Crave Company, Apartment Therapy, The LA Times, DTLA Magazine, and eHow.com.

“A freshly designed space does not truly feel complete until the walls have been dressed with artwork.  As a renovation designer, my primary focus is allocation of space and selection of materials in alignment with the homeowner’s lifestyle and concerns.  Artwork is often the last thing to be installed.  However, that does not mean it is not the last thing contemplated.  Each layer of design is built upon each other in consideration of the final vision, and artwork plays a significant role in determining the final mood and energy of a finished space.  Sourcing original pieces or those with special meaning can be an onerous task without the expertise of an art consultant.”
