Purvisha Peshwe (M.F.A., painting candidate at Savannah College of Art and Design) was born in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Her work deals with portraiture, using it as an avenue to recognize subtle patterns in individual experiences through the undiluted moments of intimate exchange between her and the sitter. This fosters commonalities in thoughts, opinions, and emotions. Using the reflective aluminum substrate, she explores these commonalities and the ways in which they shape the human psyche.

Purvisha received a BBM in Marketing from SBMJC - Centre for Management Studies in Bangalore, India (2011) and an MMC in AV Production from Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication in Pune, India (2013). She has extensive experience in Production Design as an Art Director, Set Dresser and Prop Master for Indian feature films and advertising. She has also exhibited her work in numerous group shows in Savannah, GA.
